They have stuck to a simple colour theme of black white with a few numbers in red, this suggests simple and too the point which suggests the reader of this magazine will be simple to the point type of person. They include exclusive pictures of the stars. Again smash hits theme appears on the pages as it's bold bright and colourful.
As smash hits audiance is young they haven't included lots of writting they have focused more on the pictures which is what girls of that age will like to look at and only reada simply bit about the picture.

On a double page spread of Vogue it was all about fashion. vogue have made it simple and sweet but it stands out and makes people want to look at it. they have used one simple image but it's not the typical vogue shot. Vogue usually go for the sophisticated trendy women but this image is of a family and wearing olden day clothes.

Smash hits content contains a lot of colour and big sections with lots of space. Smash hits have straight away connected with it's target audiance with the colour they use. The audaicen likes bright colours and it grabs them. Also they have made some of the writting differant colours which makes it stand out, this matches how the magazine stands out the rest of the chart/pop magazines. The contents looks fun, bubly and childish which will suit to the target audiance of young teenage girls.

Vogues contents page it very basic and doesn't give away much to the reader about what the issues of this magazine is about but it does includeto the differant sections and whats in each sections. Usually magazines include small images sometimes with headings which gives the reader a visual clue of what will be coming up in the magazine. However vogue kept it basic, but packed with words and one big image, this would suggest to the reader that the magazine is filled with information.
Vogue contents page also sticks to a colour theme of black and red. The title is red and black, most of the information is black other than important information which is red, and even in the image the people are wearing mainly red and black. By sticking with this colour theme i think it looks classy and sophisticated which is what impression the magazine wants to have.
Overall the magazines contents page does give out that it's for adults and fits in well with it's reputation of being classy and sophisticated which also fits in with it's target audiance.
